Live Oak Lodge & Cabins
The Live Oak Lodge area consists of a lodge, accommodations in three pair of back-to-back private cabins (6), a bunkroom, tent campsites (3) and RV hook-ups (3) to meet the varying needs of our guests. Each of the six uniquely decorated cabins has individual climate control and a private bathroom with shower and can sleep two to four guests in a variety of queen, double, twin and bunk combinations.
The Bunkroom simply offers bunk-style accommodations for 1-4 people in a double / bunk bed combination with a/c and heating. This room serves principally as overflow accommodations and is booked only with group reservations occupying all other Live Oak Lodge facilities.
The lodge is a 2,000 sq. ft. two-room structure with central air and heat. One room features a complete kitchen, dining area, a restroom and living area with satellite TV, DVD player and a number of books, games, magazines and information on the area. The second room in the lodge has approximately 800 sq. ft. of meeting / general purpose space and two restrooms.
A covered front porch running the entire length of the west side of the building offers protection from the afternoon sun and is a great place to catch a glimpse of one of those famous West Texas sunsets.
On the east side of the lodge is a covered deck and a beautiful view of the Granger Draw Valley, the X Bar and surrounding ranch country. A number of bird feeders, a fountain, native flower gardens and wildlife feeders in the area, as well as a wildlife observation area not far from the lodge, provide for hours of comfortable viewing.
Without crowding, shaded campsites with access to water and cold showers, RV hook-ups with water and electricity and a swimming pool can be found in the area. Consideration for privacy and space has been given to all guests staying at the Live Oak Lodge.
