Round House
You can’t be cornered here! The Round House is a circular rock house located on the brow of a hill in the middle of the X Bar Ranch. It has two loft bedrooms and a bathroom with walk-in shower. The bedrooms and bath are accessed upstairs by a spiral stairway. The house has all the amenities of home, and then some. It is equipped with a full kitchen and deluxe bar-b-que grill on the patio just outside the door. The native stone and rough cedar interior blend perfectly to give a completely natural feel in a completely natural setting.
The entire east side of the house has large glass windows (16 x 16 ft.) and provides both the living area and upstairs bedrooms with a magnificent view of the ranch. A true sense of the outdoors is allowed to be present inside. Use the binoculars on hand to spot deer and turkey in the meadow below. Or spend hours watching buzzards catch thermals and soar through the clear blue sky, all from the comfort of an easy chair inside the house.
You will find the cabinets and refrigerator stocked with items for a continental style breakfast to start each day of your stay. And the fully equipped kitchen offers normal appliances, utensils and other incidentals.
Additional features of this extraordinary private guest house include a king bed in the master bedroom (memory foam mattress), i-docking station with speakers, three twin beds in second bedroom, a wet bar (liquor not provided), DirecTV & DVD player, central heating and a/c, and a wood burning stove. The nature trails that start at the Live Oak Lodge may also be accessed from near the Round House.
