With ample lodging, comfortable meeting spaces, and a score of family friendly activities, X Bar Ranch is the perfect location for your next family reunion or gathering. There are two sand piles, a shaded swing set and playhouse, pool, horseshoes, washers and ladder golf. That's not to mention the 16 miles of hiking and mountain biking trails, nature photography, and nearby attractions.
There's room for as many as 100 daytime guests, but X Bar also can accommodate up to 36 family members who want to stick around overnight. For one flat rate (with a two-night minimum) you can reserve lodging for all of them in our cabins and RV/tent campsites, and you'll also enjoy exclusive access to all Live Oak Lodge facilities.

CABIN RENTALS

Each of the six Live Oak Lodge Cabins has individual climate control and a private bathroom with shower and sleeps two to four guests in a variety of queen, double, twin and bunk combinations.

TENT & RV SITES

Shaded tent campsites with access to water, bathrooms and cold showers as well as RV hook-ups with electricity and water can be found in the area immediately adjacent to the Live Oak Lodge.

RENT THE ENTIRE RANCH

Families are welcome to plan for their reunions here at X Bar, as are any group looking for a unique and relaxing Texas Hill Country experience. Our Rent-The-Ranch option is a perfect fit for larger groups looking to have exclusive access to the ranch, and our facilities can handle events of almost any type.
The Live Oak Lodge boasts 2,000 square feet and has a complete kitchen, dining, living and meeting areas, three bathrooms and central air and heat. There is a covered front porch running the length of the building on the west side and a covered deck and patio on the east side which looks out over a 2.5 mile wide dry river valley (Granger Draw). Just off the patio is an outdoor cook shed.

ACTIVITIES

With 7,100 acres, the X Bar Ranch has plenty of activities to keep you busy. Some of our favorites include:

Miles and miles of hiking trails. Hikers of all ages an experience levels will enjoy cutting a path through dry river valleys, mesquite flats and cedar/oak covered hills.

Star-gazing and astronomy opportunities. The X Bar Ranch is blessed with wide-open spaces and dark skies and we've developed two protected observing fields specifically built to meet the needs of individuals or groups of astronomers.

Nature photography and reconnecting with the outdoors. The X Bar Ranch has been named "One of Texas' Best Backyard Habitats" by the National Wildlife Federation and the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department.

The X Bar may be a quiet isolated Hill Country ranch, but it's still close enough to a multitude of area attractions that appeal to visitors who wish to strike out and explore.
