The Spiny Star is the largest of the nine cabins at X Bar Ranch Nature Retreat. It is self-contained with a full kitchen and a private deck with b-b-q grill. There is a queen bed and a twin-over-full bunk bed in the bed room and a queen sleeper sofa in the living room. The bathroom is spacious and has a walk-in tile shower. The cabin also features DishTV and wifi. For those familiar with the ranch, the Spiny Star is situated between the Birdsong and the Live Oak Lodge and standard cabins and is shaded by several Live Oaks. It has a nice view of the pool and landscape beyond in the Granger Draw valley. Pets are not allowed on furniture, including in beds and must always be on a leash when outdoors. They are not allowed in common areas (pool, inside lodge, outside area around lodge including cook shed, on the hiking trail, etc.) If these rules are violated, we will charge up to $150 depending on clean up required or infraction that was made.
